A number of years ago I had the opportunity to harvest an entire maple tree. That tree provided me with material for many dining and coffee tables until all I was left with was the outside slab known as the cap and the small slice next to that. These two pieces have the most incredible quilted figure. They wood speaks for itself and only required a simple design to show it off, a hanging shelf and just three legs was all it took.
